I am not aware of any relation between the errors and sound issues. Actually, they started when you updated to Mint 20. It started however as soon as these ACPI errors showed up. This might be unrelated to the errors, i don't know. I searched everything related to sound, did every test i could fine and all looks well but there is no sound in the headphone (checked, headphone not broken). beside these errors i noticed my headphone jack / plug also does not work any more. The errors do not seem to have an influence on the further workings of Mint but.

I use the latest version of Mint 20.1 and update it first thing as soon as the system starts (using apt-get update & apt-get dist-upgrade). My system is an ASUS X200CA (netbook) that has an I3- 3217U processor and 4 Gb DDR(2) and a 256Gb SSD. I am just a normal everyday desktop user and the answers are for specialists. Beside that, for me it is impossible to understand the explanations that are given about these errors. I then start searching for these errors on-line and they seem to have a relation to Ubuntu but there the errors ACPI Error: Aborting method \_PR.CPU0._PDC due to previous error (AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE) (20190816/psparse-529) Initialized Arguments for Method : (1 arguments defined for method invocation) No Local Variables are initialized for Method ACPI Error: AE_AML_OPERAND_TYPE, While resolving operands for (20190816/dswexec-431) ACPI Error: Needed type, found (_ptrval_) (20190816/exresop-66) I learned that using dmesh the errors as related to something called ACPI: Since updating to Mint 20.x i noticed boot up errors. I use Mint since version 9 as my everyday desktop.
